It’s that time of year… time to play Christmas music for the Salvation Army Kettles!
Everyone should already be assigned to a kettle group. If you don’t know yours, please contact Al, Jason or Seth.
Our three groups details are as follows:
- Shop-Rite – Meet at Shop-Rite in Montague on Friday nights at 6pm. Play until 8pm, December 5th, 12th and 19th.
- K-Mart – Meet at K-Mart in Westfall on Saturday afternoons at 12 noon. Play until 2pm, December 6th, 13th and 20th.
- Walmart – Meet at Walmart in Westfall on Sunday mornings at 10am. Play until 12 noon, December 7th, 14th and 21st.
Reminder: Bring your 2 Christmas music booklets – Christmas Carols and Christmas Favorites!
The Christmas party is Monday, December 22nd at Drew Church. Please be there around 6pm to rehearse your skit for the annual kettle competition. Please bring a treat to share. Competition begins around 6:30pm. Winning group gets listed on the bell of excellence trophy. We finish the night playing “Have yourself a merry little Christmas” and “Hallelujah” chorus.
The Port Jervis Christmas Parade is Sunday, December 14th. Meet on Canal Street at 1:30pm. Parade kicks off at 2pm. We march to Airport Park in Matamoras and have doughnuts and hot chocolate before the awards are given out.
Christmas Day – Meet at Orange Square at 4pm to play some carols and wish each other Merry Christmas. Treats are encouraged!
