December 22nd, is the annual Salvation Army Kettle Competition. For those who haven’t been through this before, the folks who are volunteering their time playing carols at the Salvation Army Kettles have been working on skits, which they will perform for our enjoyment! The festivities start at approximately 6:30pm with a performance from Simply Strings. If you are in a kettle, check with your leader to see what time you should arrive at the church. Everyone is invited to bring their families and a dish/snack to share. After the kettle groups have performed, the wind ensemble will set up and perform “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” and “Hallelujah Chorus.” If you’re coming late, please try to arrive by 7:15 so you have time to have something to eat before we play. No need for formal black and white dress, Ugly Christmas Sweaters are not only acceptable, but encouraged 😉
